The importance of Change Management for your company

A new operating system, the merger of two companies, the moving of workers, or the externalization of projects. They are all questions that can generate frustration, confusion, uncertainty, and other emotions associated to change. To overcome the challenge, businesses must treat them in the appropriate timeframe and with the correct tools through a strategy that involves the entirety of the personnel.
Change Management is the discipline that prepares and supports employees in a campaign to successfully adapt to these types of changes.
The Three levels of Change Management:
Level 1: Management of individual change in which one looks to understand how people react to change. In this phase, psychology and neurology are applied to identify the messages that the workers need to hear or when the best moment is to teach someone a new skill.
Level 2: Management of organizational change. In this phase, the range of the work is amplified and the groups of people who have to change because of a concrete project are identified. Strategies to organize the implicated employees are created so that they receive the necessary formation to be able to successfully overcome the change.
Level 3: Management of the changes to the business. In this phase, the previously implemented changes can be reflected as one can now measure the adaptation of the employees to change and the application of initiatives can be replicated. This generates benefits for the company.
The projects with an incredible understanding of CM have up to seven times more possibilities for success than projects with a low level of change management.
Since what changes in the business are the people that make it up, it seems crucial to have an agent of change to help make this step in any company. In Duguech & Dip we are sensitive to change management, especially since the sector we find ourselves in (global mobility and effective movement of employees) is changing constantly and these changed must be inherent to each member of our team.
In the next entry, we will tell you how Duguech & Dip has gone through these three levels of Change Management. We would love to hear about your experience.
