Reasons why you should study for an MBA in Spain
11 June, 2019Erika
If you want to become a highly competitive professional in business management, an MBA is the best investment you can make.
This will provide excellent benefits for your personal growth, as you’ll develop entrepreneurship skills, a global perspective on business and mental flexibility.
At a professional level, you’ll be better qualified; your chances of finding a better job will increase, you’ll expand your network of contacts and improve your income. Once you’ve finished your Master’s degree, you can be sure of an enriching work experience as an expatriate.
If you are already considering the possibility of studying for an MBA in Spain, you can choose from an extensive range of internationally prestigious business schools, five of which are among the top 35 in the world.
Before you make one of the best investments for your future, we recommend you consider the following tips:
- Research the business school’s faculty, programmes and utilities.
- Find out about the school’s reputation within the business sector, the quality of its degrees and any arrangements for collaboration.
- Check the performance and effectiveness of internships.
- Prepare yourself properly to take any corresponding tests. In many business schools, the GMAT is essential, an examination that measures certain capabilities of the applicant. Many business schools use this test as one of their main selection criteria for programmes such as the Executive MBA or PhD.
The first thing you must know is if – depending on your nationality – you need a visa to study an MBA in Spain. If you are a non-EU citizen, from Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, and you stay in Spain for more than three months, you will need a study visa.
The programmes may require a specific visa, depending on their duration. If your studies last less than 3 months, you must apply for a short-term visa.
In addition, you must provide all your accreditations prior to completing the MBA and the professional experience.
Remember: it is not permitted to enter the country on a tourist visa and then apply for a student visa.
