Myanmar expands visa-on-arrival schemeErika
As of October 1, Myanmar has extended its visa-on-arrival scheme to visitors from Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Switzerland and Australia.
Passport holders from these countries will not need a permit before arriving at the airport and can apply for a visa at the desk in the main airports in the country. To obtain the authorisation, applicants will have to pay 50 dollars.
In the second quarter of this year, changes to immigration regulations led to an increase in nationalities entitled to visa-on-arrival, such as India and China, or visa-free stays, like Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Macao.
