The tests to obtain Spanish nationality will be virtual
For the first time this year, the Instituto Cervantes will remotely administer the tests of Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain (CCSE test) required to obtain Spanish citizenship.
Now the measure only involves Sephardic applicants originating from Spain who registered for the test during 2020 at the assessment centers in Canada and the United States, and who have not yet taken the exam. It is not valid for those who are not yet registered or did so after last December 31.
The possibility of taking the exam virtually is a pilot experience that, for the moment, is going to be applied to Sephardim in Canada and the United States but could be gradually extended to other test applicants at the Cervantes Institute.
