Restrictions for travelers in Spain continue
Restrictions to travelers in Spain continue. Non-EU citizens must present a certificate of vaccination, covid recovery or negative proof of covid in order to enter the country.
Spain has removed almost all of the measures against covid, however, the entry limits for non-EU citizens remain in place, except for travelers from the EU or the Schengen area (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).
In case the traveler does not have a valid EU vaccination certificate, he/she must complete a form proving any of the required documents.
Many other countries in Europe have lifted the restriction measures, and travelers from anywhere in the world can access them, such as Italy or Germany, without the need to present a vaccination certificate or negative proof. However, Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and Malta maintain some requirements for non-EU travelers.
According to EU health sources, the requirement of sanitary controls is advised, but each country ultimately decides whether to apply them or not.
