New requirement for work permits in Denmark
Since February 7, Denmark has put in place a new regulation for all work permits. This new measure stipulates that applicants must book in advance a biometric appointment at the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), before they appear in person.
Foreigners interested in applying for a work permit may submit an application, a re-entry permit or a new residence card through this medium.
Applicants who wish to book an appointment at SIRI must state the reasons for their stay in Denmark and explain whether the application is for work or study, for permanent residence, intern or volunteer, for authorization as a doctor or dentist, family reunification, asylum or if Is familiar to accompany a person who is working or studying.
