New COVID-19 passport to avoid travel restrictions
This October the COVID-19 passport will be launched on an experimental basis in Great Britain with the aim of allowing travelers to travel without restrictions or quarantines.
The COVID-19 passport will be used en route between London and New York on United Airlines flights. The document works as a record in which each passenger stores the results of the tests that have been carried out on their mobile phone, thus avoiding the different travel restrictions around the world.
From Commons Project Foundation, the entity that developed the project, they point out that a coronavirus test is necessary to obtain the passport. A negative result will generate a QR code that airline personnel and border authorities can scan, thus preventing the mobility of infected travelers.
