Delays in consular proceedings by Ramadan
Due to the celebration of the month of Ramadan, which begins on May 26 and ends on June 24, the government offices of the countries that join the celebration have modified the opening hours for the public. The official units are expected to work on reduced days and on specific days do not provide services to the public.
Foreigners wishing to carry out consular procedures such as: visas, renewal, passports, to mention a few, should consider the delays presented by the change of schedule in the month of Ramadan; Especially in the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and parts of Asia.
To know the changes in the schedules it is advisable to be informed at the Consulate of each country, because the closing and the reduced day will be different in each case. In Madrid, it has been confirmed that the Turkish Embassy will close its consular offices on June 26.
