United Kingdom recommends not to travel to Spain and imposes quarantine on Spaniards
The United Kingdom recommends that British citizens not travel to Spain and imposes a 14-day quarantine for Spaniards entering the country.
The increase in cases of covid-19 that have occurred in Aragon, Navarra and Catalonia, worry the British authorities who also advise against traveling to the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.
For Brits in Spain, the government has said it recommends following the advice of the local authority and not returning to the UK at this time.
As of July 25, Spain is no longer on the list of safe travel brokers for the United Kingdom. Authorities have pointed out that a violation of self-isolation would be punishable by a fixed penalty notice of £ 1000, or possible prosecution.
