Restrictions in Kuwait and Russia by COVID-19

The movement of passengers in the world is limited due to the coronavirus pandemic. This has forced several countries to restrict the movement of millions of travelers.

The rapid expansion of the coronavirus also limits the performance of procedures related to visas, permits of different categories, and posting of workers.

However, the measures taken by governments vary in some countries, and controlled exceptions apply.

It is important to mention that any traveler who comes from areas affected by the COVID-19 outbreak may be exposed to additional health checks, medical check-ups, quarantine periods or entry bans. These immigration restrictions are the result of the rapid expansion of COVID-19. In fact, this informational alert can undergo changes and alterations that are unpredictable in a world health crisis scenario. The established restrictions can be tightened or relaxed at any time, considering that the situation is dynamic and constantly changing. That is why, given the need for displacement, we recommend confirmation of the measures in force before the official authorities of each country.

Kuwait:

  • Visitors of any nationality, including visa or residence permit holders from Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA. they must remain in home quarantine.
  • Moreover, all commercial flights to and from Kuwait have been suspended.
  • The issuance of visas and work permits has been temporarily suspended. And the entry of national citizens of those countries infected by coronavirus has been prohibited.

Russia:

  • Travelers from China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway or the USA. In the USA, they must provide all their contact information and maintain a 14-day isolation, even if no symptoms have occurred.
  • The entry and temporary issuance of work permits, invitation letters and visas to Italian citizens and foreigners residing in Italy have been suspended.
  • And, air traffic is restricted between Russia and Italy, France, Spain and Germany.
  • Foreigners and nationals of Russia entering Moscow from the affected territories must submit their travel history to the authorities.
  • Russia closes its land borders with China, also suspends the issuance of electronic visas to Chinese citizens.

In conclusion, it is recommended to review the restrictions imposed in each country.
