China: new visa requirement
As of December 20, China is bringing in a new mandatory condition for visa applications.
Applicants must provide fingerprints. This will make the process not transferable, that is, without the option of third-party requests. Children under 14 and those over 70 are exempt from this condition.
This new requirement does not affect the charge or the processing time for urgent or regular visa applications.
People who submit their fingerprints and secure a visa to travel to China with the same passport in the last five years need not present their fingerprints again.
Remember that to apply for a visa to travel to China, whether for business or tourism, you should visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. Also, you must complete the online application form.
