From 2nd November 2018, new application charges will apply on Canadian visas.

According to the Canadian Visa Application Centre (CVAC), if the applicant is European, Middle Eastern or African, they will be required to provide biometric data such as fingerprints and photographs when applying for a work permit, study permit or tourist visa.

To ensure a more speedy processing of your application, the CVAC recommends that you make an appointment for the Biometric Registration – although it is possible to complete the process without an appointment .

According to the recommendations of the CVAC:

• Applicants for temporary residence visas, study or work permits only need to provide their biometric data once every 10 years.
• Applicants for permanent residence must provide their biometric data with each application.
• All applicants must provide the latest version of the application forms and review the checklist available on the IRCC website.
