Uncertainty in visa applications for UK because of the Brexit
On March 29, UK Prime Minister Theresa May started negotiations for the United Kingdom´s departure of the European Union, which is already commonly known as Brexit. This political goal pursued by certain political parties, civil groups and citizens of the United Kingdom, seeks the country to leave the European Union, taking into consideration the right of the Member States under Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon.
Brexit, a process that is estimated to last two years, brings with it speculation as to its consequences and effects in the social and economic sphere, above all, for EU citizens in the UK and for expatriates born in Great Britain, but living in EU member states.
The agreements under which the negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom are going to take place are not yet known, so the granting of visas and their conditions is not yet clear. Especially for immigrant workers and for applicants to the Level 2 visa. This type of visa is requested by foreigners who wish to work in the country, preceded by an employer organization that has a valid Level 2 license to be able to hire.
Therefore, until the negotiations are more advanced, the real impact of Brexit in all areas, including the granting of visas and work permits, will not be accurately known.
