The company VFS Global will be responsible for managing visas of India in Spain. Applicants will be able to carry out the procedures for the first time in Madrid, Barcelona and Las Palmas  (Gran Canaria).

To date, the entity responsible for processing visas has been BLS Center, however, the Embassy of India and VFS Global have signed a 4-year contract where they are expected to offer a wide range of consular services, such as registration birth certificate, passport renewal services and Indian passport cancellation services.

In spite of the change of the management company being official, the processing times and the application rates of the visas for Spain are still yet to be known.
