South Africa will review the requirements for processing visas
The President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, will be interviewed in the Council of Ministers, concerning the conditions and requirements in processing visas. The changes that are to be implemented are to facilitate the management, as the current requirements have affected tourism and foreign investments.
The application of biometrics for visitors or the requirement of birth certificates when
travelling with children, are considered unnecessary and generate delays. The understanding behind this is that their potential investor countries likeChina only have South African offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
Whilst the changes are not precisely know, Jacob Zuma, has said that in the short term, the Interministerial Committee will address the issue and define new visa regulations that promote tourism and investment to the country.
