In order to strengthen trade relations and encourage foreign investment, Kazakhstan has decided to eliminate visas for 19 countries, including Spain. This measure, which comes into action 16^th July 2016, will be effective until 31^st December 2017. It is applicable for stays of up to 15 days.

The visa waiver will also have a positive impact on tourism, as it will encourage the influx of tourists to Kazakhstan for two major international events: the 2017 ‘Expo’ and the 2017 ‘Universiada’.

The countries benefiting from this measure are: Australia, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States of America, Germany, Finland, France, Switzerland and Japan.
