Spain will participate in the pilot test of the Covid passport
On June 7, Spain will participate in the pilot test of the Covid passport, which will also be carried out in France, Italy, and Greece, and which will be decisive to implement the health certificate before the summer.
This means that from June 7, Spain will allow the entry of travelers from countries that certify having received the full protocol of a vaccine recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the European Medicines Agency.
The Covid passport has already been approved by the European authorities. Although there are still details to be specified for its implementation at the community level. The Ministry of Health has informed that the autonomous regions will be responsible for issuing the certificate.
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has positively valued the news, since the measure is expected to bring about a considerable recovery of mobility in a country whose economy is closely linked to the tourism sector. “Not only for the sun and beach destinations, but also for the inland offer, which is growing in number and attractiveness”.
